We check everything
A Society of Will Writers member reviews your will, usually within 1–2 working days, and suggests any improvements.
Sign with two witnesses
Our step-by-step instructions show you how to sign and witness it properly, so your will is legally valid.
Keep it up to date
Your will is stored securely in your Kinwise account. Update it free for the first year if your life changes.

Without a will, the law decides for you
If you die without a valid will, the intestacy rules set out who inherits, in a fixed order that may not match your wishes. A will lets you decide who inherits, who raises your children and who sorts everything out.
-
Unmarried partners aren't protected
A partner you aren't married to or in a civil partnership with has no automatic right to inherit, however long you've lived together.
-
You choose your children's guardians
If both parents die without naming guardians for children under 18, a court may have to decide who raises them.
-
You pick who's in charge
Your executors deal with your estate after you die. Naming people you trust, with a back-up, makes it easier for everyone.
-
Your wishes, in writing
Leave specific gifts, support a charity and record your funeral wishes, so nobody has to guess what you would have wanted.
Every will is reviewed by a member of The Society of Will Writers
The professional body that sets standards for will writers and estate planners in the UK.

Common questions about wills
If you can't find what you need, we're happy to talk it through.
Yes. What makes a will valid is how it's written, signed and witnessed, not where it was drafted. Every Kinwise will is checked by a member of the Society of Will Writers against the requirements of the Wills Act 1837. Once you sign it in front of two witnesses, it's legally valid.
Most people answer the questions in about 20 minutes, and you can save and come back at any time. The professional review usually takes 1–2 working days, and then your will is ready to sign.
You need two adult witnesses, both in the room with you when you sign. Neither should be someone who inherits under your will, or the husband, wife or civil partner of someone who does. If they are, the will still stands, but that person can lose their gift. We send clear signing instructions with every will.
The intestacy rules decide who inherits, in a fixed order. A partner you aren't married to or in a civil partnership with gets nothing automatically, however long you've lived together. If both parents die without naming a guardian for children under 18, a court may have to decide who raises them.
Yes. Updates are free for the first year, and every change is checked before it's finalised. It's worth reviewing your will after big life events. Getting married or entering a civil partnership usually cancels an existing will, so you'd need a new one.
Kinwise works for most families, including blended families, property, savings and business interests. If you have assets abroad or want to set up a trust, we'll talk it through with you before you commit to anything.
